GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1) is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide composed of glycine, histidine, and lysine. It was originally identified in human plasma and has been extensively studied in preclinical and in vitro models for its role in tissue remodeling, collagen regulation, and cellular signaling related to regenerative pathways.
In laboratory research, GHK-Cu has been evaluated for its influence on extracellular matrix production, angiogenesis modulation, and gene expression associated with repair mechanisms.
Structure: Tripeptide complexed with divalent copper (Cu²⁺)
Peptide Sequence: Gly-His-Lys
Molecular Formula: C₁₄H₂₄N₆O₄Cu
